Natural Flower Dyes:

Have you seen those gorgeous photos.....of naturally dyed fabrics......🙌

I love, love, love this look.....♥️But every time I have tried.... it washes out and never stays.

It usually ends up looking like a muddy mess of who knows what????

So I started looking for a way to dye flowers into the fabric and make it stay!!!I would love to share with you how to do this and maybe you can give it a try.

💐Fabric: I chose a type of sackcloth fabric. Soaked it for 24 hrs in Alum water.

Washed it in regular water and dried the fabric.

💐Dying:After the fabric dried I chose my flowers to use for dying the fabric: Marigolds, Cosmos, and leaves from these flowers as well.

I laid the flowers out flat on the desired fabric I wanted to dye. Then I placed another piece of fabric on top and pounded the petals into the fabric.

Next I placed the fabric in the sun for a few minutes.Letting the fabric rest for a couple of days, I then put it into the washer machine.......BOOM now you have a gorgeous vibrant fabric ready to use in everyday life!I would not wash the fabric often ....This technique will last longer than normal but it is still very delicate and because it is natural it only lasts so long. But using this technique will definitely prolong its use.
